WHY WE NEED TO BUILD LOVE A HOME

BUILD LOVE A HOME

Increase Capacity

The addition of a new building allows the shelter to expand its capacity and accommodate a larger number of animals. With a growing population of homeless pets, a lack of space can often lead to overcrowding and compromises the well-being of the animals. The new building would provide the necessary space to properly house and care for a greater number of animals, increasing their chances of finding forever homes.

Improve Facilities

Retrofitting the old building and upgrading its facilities is essential to meet the evolving needs of homeless pets. It allows for the creation of dedicated areas for medical care, behavior rehabilitation, and proper housing that promotes the physical and mental well-being of the animals. Upgraded facilities would enable the shelter to provide necessary medical treatments, socialization opportunities, and enrichment activities that contribute to the overall health and adoptability of the animals.

Enhanced Adoption Experience

A new building and improved facilities contribute to a more positive and inviting environment for potential adopters. It allows for better organization and presentation of animals, with appropriate spaces for meet-and-greets, interactions, and showcasing their unique personalities. A welcoming and well-maintained shelter not only attracts more potential adopters but also creates a positive adoption experience that encourages successful adoptions and long-lasting bonds between pets and their new families.

Community Engagement

The addition of a new building and the retrofitting of the old one can serve as a focal point for community engagement and education. It can provide space for hosting adoption events, training programs, and educational workshops, fostering a stronger bond between the shelter and the community. Increased community involvement and awareness can lead to more adoptions, volunteer support, and donations, furthering the shelter’s ability to provide care for homeless pets.
